The BUG

The BUG has just won US sailboat of the year (it had already won the European award) and is a really funky little product that is virtually bullet proof.The RRP of the BUG is $2995.00 inc gst in basic form. We recommend the BUG option of the integral hull wheel and deck cover. These are great value options, a BUG with these options is $3195.00 inc gst RRP. The hull wheel means no launching trolley needed. The boats can be upgraded to a higher performance version later by simply adding the racy Power Curve top mast to the rig and the Power Curve Sail. The Race BUG with all options and both Power Curve Sail and Rig and Standard Sail and Rig has a RRP of $3695.00 inc gst.

Theis pack take the BUG performance up a notch or three, enhances their race ability , increases the options to train and race larger kids who have some basic sailing experience. The BUG is en route to Australia with an ETA of mid April.

Options & Accessories

The Bug comes with everything you need to go sailing the day you buy it. That said, we do offer several optional upgrades to help make your Bug even better.

Rig Options
The Bug has two alternatives - the Standard rig (41 ft²/3.8 m²) and the Race rig (56 ft²/5.3 m²). The difference is in the top mast section and the sail - the Race version has a unique power curve topmast.

Sail Choices
The Bug has six different sail designs to choose from, four for the Standard boat made of Dacron and two for the Race version made of Laminate Mylar.

Motor Mount
If you need to get there a little faster, we offer a 2-3 horsepower engine motor mount for the Bug.

Bow Wheel
The bow wheel can be mounted into the hull and two small tube-style handles that slide smoothly from the transom. With the wheel installed, the Bug can be easily rolled around the boat park. These optional upgrades have been designed specifically for the Bug; they are aerodynamic and easy to install.

Oars
Optional oars come apart and tuck neatly into the Bug's front inspection port.
